Slack Water

2025
Oil and cold wax on linen
120 × 180 cm

Available£19,000

2025 — 2026Each begins with one horizon, laid down at the hour the water stops moving.

On slowness

“I want a painting to take as long to look at as the weather takes to change.”

Each morning I walk the shore to Minnis Bay and note three colours — not of the sea or sky, but of the air between them. The paintings try to keep those notes honest.
